Lois Gartland is a mother of three Awesome Children (and their 3 Wonderful Spouses!) and NaNa to 7 of the most Beautiful, funny, sweet and talented Grand Kids!!! Married to Mike for the past 40 years, they make their home in East Tawas, Michigan.
Lois worked for more than 38 years at AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Authority. As Director of Administrative Services, Lois specialized in planning, organization and completion of many major complex projects. She deveoped and maintained the agency's website for the past six years. In addition, while there, she planned all of AuSable Valley's Christmas Parties, many, many Birthday, Going Away, and Retirement Parties, and other agency events. Planning, attention to details, website design, individual itineraries and putting the whole package together are some of Lois' strengths. She retired in 2013.
Lois enjoys spending any free time with grandkids, family and close friends! They know her as NaNa or LoLo and she is known to add a little "Party" to
anything she gets involved in! Her motto to her kids and grandkids is
"Do Everything With Love!!"
Jen Montie is Lois' second child and a mother of three, Bella ~ 8, Brock and Brynn ~ 6...yes twins! So she knows how to multi-task;) Married to Tony and living in Tawas City, Michigan. Jen went to college for Graphic Design and Visual Communications but wasn't able to continue due to migraine headaches. She learned a great deal about the creative world while there and hopes to use those skills with her natural creative mind today. She is currently an Independent Director with Thirty-One Gifts and has been with the company for the last 3 years. Jen loves being able to celebrate, encourage and reward so many woman with 31. Since becoming a Director, Jen has gained an amazing platform to Inspire so many women on her team and encourage them to grow in business and life. Through this journey Jen has found that she needs to live her own words and choose Faith not Fear and follow her Dream!
Her inspiration for creativity and event coordinating has been a passion for as long as she can remember. She was always at her mom's right hand to help in many of the parties that Lois worked on. During High School, Jen was a part of her HomeComing and Prom Committees. She then designed managed with her own Dream Wedding nine years ago. Shortly after, she surprised her mom Lois with a Surprise 50th Birthday Party which was a huge success. Three years ago she organized a community Tea Party which was a first in the area. Jen was then asked to Chair the Decorations and Dessert Committees for the Holy Family School's Fall Gala, which hosted 180 guests! Immediately following that she planned a wonderful surpise Retirement Party for her mom. Planning and Hosting a Bachelorrete Party for her sister and then working with her mom on her sister's Beautiful Wedding are just a few of the memorable events Jen has been involved with recently!
Jen is a very talented and driven person and if you can't tell, Looooves to be busy and make other's dreams come true!! Besides raising her kids, a great themed event and Pinterest really get her creative juices flowing!
